Carrot Raisin Brownies
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar 1/2 cup margarine, softened 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 cups unsifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup raisins, chopped 1 1/2 cup finely grated carrots 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts |
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9"x13" pan. Mix sugar and margarine. Add eggs and vanilla; beat. Stir in dry ingredients. Add raisins and carrots, stir. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake about 40 minutes. Cool, cut into squares. 150 calories each. Clair Blanchard |
