Fish with Creole Sauce
Ingredients
2 tbsp. margarine 4 tbsp. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. green pepper, chopped 1 tbsp. flour 3/4 cup tomatoes, chopped (can use canned) 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 3 whole cloves 1 bay leaf 2 tbsp. lemon juice |
Directions
Melt margarine in skillet. Add chopped onion and green pepper. Cook until tender. Add 1 tbsp. of flour and stir until brown. Add chopped tomatoes, pepper, salt, cloves, bay leaf and lemon juice. Cook over moderate heat for 10 minutes. Add 1 lb. of fish. Cook 8-10 minutes until fixh flakes Lois Volotta |
