(Meat Pie)
Ingredients
Pastry dough for 9" pie 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 lb. lean ground pork 1 large onion, chopped about 1 cup water. |
Directions:
Simmer ground beef and pork, onion and water together for 45 minutes. Stir in Bell's poultry seasoning, salt and pepper to taste. Add approximately 1 cup crumbled crackers or bread crumbs to absorb all juices. Let cool and remove any fat that congeals. Line your pan with pastry, fill with meat and cover with pastry. Slash top. Bake at400 degrees for about 45 minutes or until crust is golden. May be frozen or reheated. Norma Collette |
