Ham and Pork En Rond
Ingredients
2 lbs. ham, ground 2 lbs. fresh pork, ground 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs 1 1/2 cup milk 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cup brown sugar 3/4 c. vinegar 1 cup water 2 tsp. dry mustard 1 small can crushed pineapple |
Directions
Thoroughly mix the meat with the bread crumbs, onion, milk, and salt and form into balls. Place ham balls in a casserole. In a saucepan, bring just to a boil the combined sugar, vinegar, mustard, and pineapple. Pour over ham balls. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour, basting occasionally. Let cool, or chill, and remove excess fat. Return to preheated 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Mary Wheatley |
