Noodle Casserole
Ingredients
1 onion (medium to large), chopped 1 green pepper 4 stalks celery, chopped 1-1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 cn tomato soup 1 tsp sugar 1 cn tomato juice (28 oz.) 1 can spaghetti sauce salt and pepper to taste 2 small cans mushrooms 1 pkg. fine egg noodles |
Directions
Saute onion, pepper, and celery in butter or margarine. Add and brown meat. Add soup, tomato juice, spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper. Let mixture simmer while cooking 1 pkg. fine egg noodles to package directions. Combine sauce and noodles, add mushrooms. Pour into greased casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Add grated cheese to top a few minutes before removing from oven. Can be divided into three 1 1/2 qt. casseroles for freezing for use at a later time. Arline Colls |
