Overnight Salad
Ingredients
1 head lettuce, shredded 1 cup chopped celery 1 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 cup chopped onion bacon bits 2 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise 4 oz. cheddar cheese, grated 1 10-0z. pkg. frozen peas |
Directions
Layer half lettuce in bottom of bowl. Then layer celery, peas (uncooked), lettuce, onion, pepper and more lettuce. Spread mayonnaise over top. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. sugar. Add cheese and bacon bits. cover with Saran wrap and refrigerate overnight. Mix and serve. Kaye Schnell |
