Sausage-Beef Casserole
Ingredients
1 large green pepper 1 lb. beef chuck 6 sweet Italian sausages 1 large onion 2 cloves garlic 3 medium potatoes (red) 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. basil 2 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1 cup water |
Directions
Slice onion and pepper; mince garlic. Cut meat into 1" cubes and sausages into thirds. Brown the sausages and place in casserole. Drain off all but 2 tbsp. of fat and brown the beef. Add peppers and onions and saute for 1 minute. Add to casserole. Sprinkle on the seasonings and pour in the bouillon. Quarter the potatoes (half if small) and add to casserole. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. and 15 minutes. Ginny Milne |
